Simple Practices that Lead to Wealth

My Bucket List

I have been thinking a lot about my bucket list lately.  I’m not planning on kicking the bucket any time soon, but I am itching for some adventure.  It seems like all I have done for the past 40 years is work really hard, while life is slowly passing me by.  I have been hitting lots of new places, especially last year, but I still have a long way to go.  My bucket list has been growing faster than I can check things off.  The more places I visit, the more places I want to see.  With only three weeks of vacation from work each year, it’s going to take quite a while to conquer my list.

Bucket List Community

I looked around the Internet at bucket list websites and I even joined one site, but there wasn’t much of a community there.  I was hoping to swap tips with other Listers, but one site was focused on selling tours and the other was focused on members building lists.  One thing I noticed is people all over the world have similar places they want to visit and similar milestones they want to check off.  Almost everyone wants to see Paris and the Pyramids.  Others want to see the National Parks or all 50 states.  I am very fortunate to have seen many of these places.

The Bottom Line

A bucket list is more than just a collection of checklist items.  It’s a personal commitment to a more fulfilling life.  If you have a bucket list and aren’t checking things off, you need to give travel and experiences a higher priority.

“When life gives you the opportunity to check off a thing on the bucket list, you have to check them.”Ryan Tedder
